Sparks Group has partnered with one of the world's leading aerospace and defense organizations to identify a Facilities & Security Assistant / Receptionist for a long-term contract opportunity. What You'll Do:
- Welcome employees, visitors, vendors, and customers while ensuring all visitor management and badging procedures are followed.
- Serve as the first point of contact by answering and directing incoming calls and providing exceptional customer service.
- Coordinate visitor access, maintain visitor logs, and ensure badges are issued and returned appropriately.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and conference rooms.
- Open and close the reception area each business day and assist with training backup reception staff.
- Support facility operations by coordinating maintenance requests, preparing service orders, and tracking projects through completion.
- Maintain inventories of building keys, access cards, and other facility assets.
- Assist the Security team with clearance paperwork, visitor requests, affiliate visit processing, and other day-to-day security activities.
- Monitor CCTV systems and report potential security or safety concerns.
- Communicate security procedures and assist employees, subcontractors, and visitors with compliance requirements.
- Support compliance with DoD Industrial Security requirements and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Two or more years of experience supporting facilities, security, reception, office administration, or related functions.
- Familiarity with NISPOM and industrial security requirements, or the ability to quickly learn.
- Previous experience supporting visitor control, badging, facilities coordination, or security administration is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Security Clearance Requirement:
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to support the clearance process.
