Responsibilities:
- Manage vendors, internal stakeholders, deadlines, projects, and driving operational excellence and continuous process/efficiency improvements, fully utilizing internal and external client technologies.
- Manage ’ U.S. immigration operations and assist HR, GM, and foreign nationals with initiations, renewals, petition/application review approvals, status updates, Permanent Labor Certification (PERM) process.
- Be the main interface for immigration matters. Collaborate with HR, GM, and employees in providing answers to process, timeline, and general immigration questions and facilitate responses to our internal clients from our immigration provider on legal requirements, opinions, and case analysis questions.
- Operate as a subject matter expert to facilitate discussions with key business and HR stakeholders helping them understand the implications of non-immigrant and immigrant visa sponsorship decisions (cost, compliance, timing, process, business impact, etc.) before they are made.
- Provide HRBPs, GMPs, and managers with regular case status updates, visa analysis, and immigration business reviews based on regularly generated dashboards and reports, including vendor SLA performance.
- Review established immigration processes to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Ensure all immigration workflows and processes are properly documented and mapped ensuring we have standard operational procedures we can share with GM team members and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively manage vendor relationships ensuring all services are provided in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with our agreed upon SLA and they are in alignment with the Company’s overall immigration strategies and business objectives.
- Partner with our vendors to have them conduct data integrity, case, and system audits. Ensure GM is properly initiating and utilizing the vendors case management systems to the fullest.
- Implement and maintain key account management (ie. status, renewal, GC/PERM max out risk, etc) and service level reporting is regularly provided to GM and HR..
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in US immigration or global mobility in a large manufacturing or immigration law firm setting.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize daily workload (emails, questions, reviews, initiations), and multi-task
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written communication skills and ability to interact within all levels of the organization
- French, German or Spanish speaking candidates preferred
