Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a leading mortgage lender to identify a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager – Real Estate Partnerships. This role is ideal for a professional who excels at building strategic partnerships while also supporting growth through targeted outreach and talent engagement. The position plays a key role in expanding market presence by developing referral networks and initiating relationships with both external partners and mortgage professionals. This is a Direct Hire opportunity and offers both salary and commission with an OTE of six figures.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, brokers, builders, and other referral partners to drive loan origination growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market share and increase partner engagement.
  • Conduct outreach through calls, meetings, networking events, and presentations to establish new partnerships.
  • Initiate conversations with Loan Officers (LOs) and real estate professionals to build long-term relationships and support growth efforts.
  • Source potential LO and partner leads using tools such as SalesMatch, MMI, and Retr.
  • Educate referral partners on loan products, programs, and the overall lending process to encourage ongoing collaboration.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership and operations teams to ensure a seamless experience from initial engagement through closing.
  • Track business development and outreach activity, including pipeline progress and partner engagement.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, open houses, and community functions.

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, recruiting, or mortgage lending within an Independent Mortgage Bank environment.
  • Experience sourcing and engaging Loan Officers and real estate professionals strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SalesMatch, MMI, Retr, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, generate leads, and initiate new business opportunities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
